Who You Are Helping
This quarter, a portion of your purchases go towards the Special Olympics organization! The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This gives them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. This quarter, Eliza Plume will be giving a portion of our proceeds to the Special Olympics organization in our area. This money will go towards needed equipment, fees, transportation, and more! To learn more about the Special Olympics and details on the opportunities in your area, please visit www.specialolympics.org
Due to this quarter’s organization of choice, Eliza Plume wanted to spotlight a local Special Olympics athlete! Cayla has been playing basketball with her siblings since she was a young girl and officially joined the Special Olympics organization almost seven years ago. Cayla’s enthusiasm for the sport, along with her respect for her coaches and love for her teammates, makes her the perfect athlete to represent this organization. Cayla is an athlete to admire, showing up to each practice with the mindset to work hard and stay focused, giving it her all each and every time. Cayla’s attitude is the same off the court, bringing her joy and passion into everything she does. We have a lot to learn from Cayla, and that’s why Eliza Plume was honored when she agreed to let us use her as a model and as the athlete we wanted to showcase! Thank you, Cayla, keep up the good work!
"I have a great coach and I've been playing it my whole life. I like getting sweaty and playing hard. I try to do my best because I won't give up because I don't want to let God down"
